Arkansas Rock Climbing
This is a page dedicated to the rock climbing in Arkansas and its surrounding areas. I hope to give detailed directions to the crags, and some beta on the best climbing in the area. As well as, show you some cool pictures along the way. Arkansas has a phenonomenal amount of climbing if you only know where to look. Mount Magazine, Sam's Throne, Fern, and Shepherd Springs are just a few worth mentioning now, but besides the larger known climbing areas in Arkansas. There is an abundance of unknown crags and never before climbed rock all over the state. You only need to know where to look, and some permission most of the time.
What's up? This is Gator. I've been climbing for 4 years now in Arkansas and have really began to love the sport. I hope this page can help infect you with some of the passion I have developed for climbing.

Rock climbing, as we all know, is an inherently dangerous sport. The possiblity of death or living the rest of your life crippled is always a looming possibility. I was recently contacted by a concerned AR climber via email, and I agreed with him wholeheartedly. I want to use this website as a means of voicing the importance of proper instruction, attentive belaying, maintaining safe gear, setting safe anchors, etc. Remember this is a sport that can kill, don't try to learn it by yourself!
